This week was another Super Poof week…

I had a reaction on Tuesday which caused a +16.8lb inflammation gain overnight. Wednesday I was feeling like I’d been worked over with a baseball bat – Mafia style… Everything hurt… I was still up over +10lbs.

Yesterday was a bit better, slight reduction in swelling but I had Homemade Super Nachos for dinner after hosting our weekly live meeting and as Sara so aptly pointed out – sodium, sodium, sodium!

And yesterday we had some big rains roll through which always adds to the inflammation so I knew this week would show a gain – and it did… What can you do but #justkeepswimming!

If you aren’t familiar with my situation, basically I live with several autoimmune issues… an “inflammatory overstimulation response” brought on by my basic blood cells thinking they are Spartan Warriors and attacking everything in sight. [Mast Cell Activation Syndrome or MCAS]

This is not water weight, not sodium retention and it doesn’t go away until the cells calm down and the actual muscle inflammation decreases. Everything swells – my muscles, my organs, my eyes…

Foods, chemicals, weather changes, environmental elements… literally, sometimes just existing fires them up. Some things I can control and otherwise it is a #justkeepswimming kinda life.
