πŸ‡ THE WONDERLAND PLAN
12 Weeks of trying something completely different to help heal and reduce the effects of 6 months of Mast Cell disorder flare ups.

WEEK 2 – REINTRODUCTION PHASE 1
OXALATE REDUCTION – 100mg / day or less
MAST CELL HISTAMINE LIST – reintroduce up to 2 foods/meal that are [0] on the list. Score reactivity.

If minor reaction, retest in another meal to confirm.
If major reaction, note and remove for 4 weeks.

Today I reintroduced / tested:
PROTEINS:
VEGETABLES: Red Potato (retest in 4wks) *
GRAINS:
DAIRY:
FRUITS:
NUTS/SEEDS:
SPICES/HERBS:
OTHER: Cornstarch
*needs follow up test

I found out some interesting information about oxalates in potatoes – they are predominantly in the skin, which I always ate and that the process of boiling them (and discarding the water) allows the oxalates to dissipate with the starches into the water greatly reducing them. I still think I reacted to them but the storm came at the same time so there wasn’t a clear factor.

EARLY END TO THE DAY
I am lucky I have a lovely local farmer to get fresh eggs from and she had both Duck and Bantam eggs today. I drove out to meet her to pick some up. ❀️πŸ₯šβ€οΈ

Unfortunately, between the short storm that passed over, being out in the humidity and getting overheated in a car that had been sitting in the heat – I hit a wall. I just couldn’t do anymore.

Figuring out my food sensitivities is only one part of managing this disorder. Other things, like the weather, I can’t control but I’m hoping to lessen the severity of those reactions by supporting my system.

πŸ’ Tracking – Calories only – Calorie Command in @iTrackBites

🍽️ GOAL – 4 salad plate meals (no regular big plates, no OMAD [one meal a day] ) – smaller meals to reduce the amount of histamine triggers consumed at one time and limit reactivity during the reintroduction trial phases.

If you aren’t familiar with my situation, basically I live with several autoimmune issues… an “inflammatory overstimulation response” brought on by my basic blood cells thinking they are Spartan Warriors and attacking everything in sight.
