So the “bread” is lower in carbs for sure (4 carbs vs 22 carbs) however it is almost three times as many calories for the same weight serving of the bread I normally eat. (108cal vs 275cal) Texturally I was not a fan and I wouldn’t make it again but it was a fun experiment. [Full review in video]

POLISH DILL PICKLE SOUP This is one of the soups I meant to make earlier as my filler soup. Dividing it up into 6 servings (will measure once it is cooled and I add the yogurt) makes it 52 calories per serve.
I substituted turnip for the potato, added zucchini and kale and am using Greek Yogurt in place of the sour cream…
โช๏ธPut everything except corn starch and yogurt in Instant Pot. โช๏ธHigh Pressure 3 min and Quick Release. โช๏ธMake cornstarch slurry and add to hot soup. Mix well. โช๏ธLet cool and stir in yogurt to avoid it breaking or just add yogurt when serving (which is what I do)
NO KNEAD SEEDY ARTISAN BREAD I am no baker but this bread is one of my favorites. If you like a seedy, chewy, sourdough / caraway style bread – this is fantastic.
Makes 1 loaf – this weighed 842g cooked and I get about 16 slices from it at 72 cal / slice so about like a Dave’s Killer Bread slice…
2 cups self rising flour – if using all purpose flour – add 2tsp (8g) baking powder per cup of flour
2tbsp caraway seeds 2tbsp cumin seeds 2tbsp minced onion 2tbsp Italian Seasoning 1tbsp granulated garlic (or garlic powder) Season as you like – use different seeds or no seeds – add 1tbsp sugar or honey for a sweeter bread or experiment with adding applesauce or pumpkin to adjust the flavor. It will change the density so you will have to play with it if you want to try those.
1ยฝ cups water ยพ cup Greek Yogurt
โช๏ธMix dry ingredients. โช๏ธMix water and yogurt to basically a milk consistency. โช๏ธCombine wet and dry ingredients and mix into a shaggy dough. โช๏ธNo kneading, no rolling it out – just combine. โช๏ธPour into well greased loaf tin. โช๏ธCover lightly and let proof in a warm place for 45-60min. โช๏ธBake at 425ยฐ for 20min. โช๏ธLet cool and cut into slices or cut as you go.
This is fantastic toasted – it has all the nooks and crannies like an English Muffin!
Freezes well.

I didn’t think it could get better. I WAS WRONG! This is near perfection! I wanted a strong Sourdough flavor – so I found a bunch of recipes and played around with things… And dang the result is magnificent. Now that I know what I am doing a bit more – I’ll do an updated video with my refined measurements next time…
I started with the same basic English Muffin Bread Loaf I made last time… I don’t have a Sourdough starter… I’ve managed to kill 2… I think, like cactus, I overloved them… ๐คฃ
So I did some experimenting with Greek Yogurt and Apple Cider Vinegar and added Caraway and Black Cumin Seeds (lower in oxalates than normal Cumin seeds by quite a bit). I made 2 loaves – one in a normal loaf pan and the other I tried out my baby Dutch Oven.
I need to play with the Dutch Oven some but ya’ll….. YA’LL….. this bread is the BOMB ๐ฃ I got 18 thick slices at 86/cal a slice with no artifical ingredients. Put it in the freezer… If you don’t, you WILL just eat it… ๐คฃ

I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since I started my 12wk Reset. At the time, I took egg whites out for 6 months because I reacted to them and today I retested by having whole eggs – still a no go…
I can have them as an ingredient in some things like pasta or mayo, but as far as just eating the whites on their own or as part of the egg itself… Nope nope…
This was the third test so that pretty much decides it. I’ve reacted, not horribly but enough, that they need to just go on the permanent – not a good idea – list.
I was feeling a bit rough after the egg white reaction… Nothing horrible but my eyes and hands/feet were bothering me and I felt like I had an elephant on my chest…

We often share a meal kit or something similar and spend some time together since neither of us go out too much ๐ Today is one of her days. I’m enjoying having someone to cook for again.
